Chapter 21

The Talk

Danny had flown back to his room by the time Plasmius had come to check up on him. When he came in he looked both concerned and serious, why? Danny didn't know but knew something big was about to come up.

"Daniel, I need to talk with you about something. Something important" Vlad said and Danny looked at him with curiosity.

"Oh yeah like what Froot Loop?" Danny asked him with a tone of disgust in his voice he should have ignored Clockwork and left when he had the chance.

"Like your training. Starting tomorrow after work you and I will train for 2 hours everyday. Is that clear Daniel?" Vlad asked and the teen just stared wondering if the man was serious.

"Train? With you!? You're nuts! Why would I ever train with you? I never accepted your offer before so what makes you think that I will now?" Danny asked and Vlad realized that he had a point there.

"Who said you had a choice Daniel? You are living under my roof, so you will live by my rules"

"I'm only living under your roof because I have no other choice! You took my choices away from me remember!?" The teen shouted, and yes Vlad did remember all to well but Clockwork said to make the boy happy....Just how was he supposed to do that? Daniel hated him to no avail even though the teen knew how much he cared about him.

"Yes I know and for that I am truly sorry Daniel, I will explain why I did what I did later on but for now you must trust me when I say that I love you." Vlad told him once again with a smile "Now please stop rebelling and let me train you, Or I might carry through on my threat and force you"

"You are really unbelievable sometimes you know that? You say you love me to through me off guard and then you threaten me again! Normal people don't threaten those they love you know!"

"Well I'm not normal Daniel, I'm a Half Ghost Hybrid like you are. And you have nothing else to do anyways so why not train with me?"

The older hybrid did have a point with he nothing else to do, so he could fight him back there and soon enough realized that Vlad had won their fight yet again. Danny sighed in surrender.

"Fine Plasmius, I'll train with you. Happy?"

"Daniel there is no need for that tone. And I am not happy, you wanna know why Daniel? Because you are unhappy. Please tell me what I can do to make you smile Daniel?"

"Let me go" Danny said and finally looked the older man in the eye.

"I'm afraid I can't do that little badger, and you know that." Vlad took a few steps toward him and tilted his chin up when Danny bowed his head down. "Don't be sad little badger, I promise I'll make it up to you. You'll see" Vlad then let go of Danny's chin and went to the door before he left he called "Dinner will be ready in a few of hours, I hope to see you downstairs at that time."

Danny watched the man leave, and went to sit down on the bed with a sigh. He just wanted to leave, and how was Vlad going to make it up to him? He couldn't there was no way he could what he had done was unforgivable in Danny's eyes. Danny then laid down on the bed and fell asleep.

Vlad thought that could have gone better but what else was he to do, the child needed time to grow use to the idea that he could be happy here. And he would give that time before and after their training sessions. He guessed he could have picked a different day to start rather than a saterday but that could not be helped now.

He just hoped Clockwork was right and that making the boy happy would eventually make Daniel love him as Vlad loved him. He hoped anyway.   

Chapter 20

The Vists









Danny was in his room feeling rather depressed he missed his family and friends.....But thanks to Plasmius everyone in Amity Park believed him to be dead. So what choice did he have but to stay with the older Hybrid?None he had none.









He could leave but where would he go? He couldn't go home that was for sure, he could go to another town but that wasn't a really safe idea either since Plasmius could have another chance of finding him. Danny guessed his only other options were to either go to another country or go to the Ghost Zone.









Danny sighed then said out loud "Why can't he just let me leave? Why couldn't the froot loop leave me be?" Danny stormed out onto the balacony and changed into Danny Phantom then flew into the sky. "WHAT DID I EVER DO TO DESERVE ANY OF THIS!???!!!"









Then without warning time stopped and Clockwork slipped a time medalion around Danny's neck making him unfreeze. Danny gasped when he saw the time ghost he hadn't seen him for at least a month.





"Clockwork!? What are you doing here?"Danny asked the time ghost.





"I am here to warn you Danny, your sister is planning to visit you again"





"My sister? Why are you warning me about Jazz?"





"Because she plans to try and rescue you. But whatever you do Danny you must not leave understand? You are suppose to be here"





"Suppose to be here!? Are you nuts!? Vlad faked my death so I had no choice but stay here! I am not staying with that Froot Loop!" Danny shouted at Clockwork clearly angry.





"Danny the reason you are here is to train and nothing more I do not expect you to stay with Vladimir when the danger has passed but until then please listen to me and remain with Plasmius" Clockwork said to him in a calm manner but Danny was confused.





Until the danger has passed? What the heck was that suppose to mean? Sometimes Clockwork made no sense at all. Well he is the ghost of time.





"I must go now Danny and remember no matter how much you hate Vlad Masters gut you must stay with him! Goodbye Danny, Time In!" And without a blink of an eye the ghost of time Clockwork was gone.





Danny then decided to go back to his 'room' incase the older hybrid came by to check on him.

Vlad was him his study when Clockwork came. He had only met the ghost of time once before so it was still a little strange to him to see time frozen around him while he wore the CW medallion.

"Ah Clockwork, I was wondering when I might see you again. So as you can see I have Daniel as you asked but.......Well Daniel isn't all that thrilled about it"

"Yes I know Vladimir. I know everything for I am the ghost of time."Clockwork said "Anyway I am here to tell you that you need to start training Danny, the danger is nearing Vladimir."

".....Yes but Clockwork you have not told me what type of danger Daniel is in. You know if you hadn't told me that the boy was in danger I wouldn't had, had to act so rash in getting him here"Vlad sighed "Do you realize how much he hates me now?"

"Then get him to like you"

"And how do pray tell do I do that?"

"Tell him you'll find a way to undo what you did"

"Clockwork I may not know how everything will turn out in the end like you do but not even Daniel will buy that lie. He is not an idiot he knows there is know way for me to reverse what I did"

"Just try and make him happy here then Vladimir. Make Danny see that it isn't as bad as he thinks it is"

Vlad thinks over what the time ghost just said. Maybe he had a point the boy was only unhappy because he thought living with him was the most horrible thing in the world. "Alright I'll give it a try Clockwork"

"Thank you, and Vladimir please watch Danny carefully he still dislikes the idea of staying and will try and run again"Clockwork tells Vlad before he disapears with a "Time In" Vlad then decided to go and check on young Daniel.

Chapter 19

Time is Running out

Clockwork was getting worried, he had just heard young Jasmine Fenton's plan to see her brother. Even if he knew what was going to happen already he was still worried, after all he knew that it would be her that would lead her brother to his demise, even if she didn't mean it.

But who knows maybe Danny would change the future yet again. Well actually only Clockwork would know that, being the ghost of time had it's advantages but also it's downfalls. Even though he knew everything that was about to happen he could not interfere and try and warn people unless absolutely necessary otherwise it was against the rules. Sometimes you have to let things go as they are suppose to or you could ruin something in the future, but other times if you interfere you can make the future better for everybody.

Although he wasn't quite sure if he wanted this to play out, soon poor Jasmine would be in horrible danger and this time her brother may not be able to save her. Although this danger was practically months away from the one that would soon face young Daniel and Vladimir, but he could not interfere with that one because that one turned out okay but the one that affected young Jasmine......

"So Clockwork are you going to warn the boy or not?" one of the ones from the council asked. They always came to Clockwork when they needed him to decide things about time.

"I don't think we should, it may just worry him and then Vlad will get suspisious" Clockwork said turning from his child form to his normal form.

"But if we don't then miss Fenton gets killed and Danny gets forced into becoming that..that Demon!"

By 'Demon' they ment Dan Phantom the evil version of Danny.

"Yes I know that but the problem is Vlad wouldn't understand he would think it was nonsense and trying to tell the boy he was being silly, which will only make Danny reble more against Vlad. And both of you know that he needs to trust Vlad in order to survive the fight against Jack" Clockwork says to the floating blobs with only an eyeball.

"Then make Plasmius understand! Otherwise we'll be stuck with the Dan problem again and if we are then we have no choice but to kill Danny Fenton/Phantom"

"Okay, I'll make a visit to both of them to warn them but I'm telling you Plasmius will not believe me" Clockwork says then sends the two ghosts away preparing to visit the two Hybrids.

Chapter 18

A Big Sister's Worry

Jazz was in her room listening to her parents weep over the death of Danny still, it had been almost a month since they had found out about Danny and they had just gotten back from Winsconsin two days ago. Although Jazz knew that Danny wasn't dead he was just being held against his will to stay with Vlad Masters.

Jazz wished that there was a way to help her baby brother out, but what could she do? Nothing she could do absolutely nothing. She could tell her parents the truth but Danny had begged her not to tell them his secret. She really missed her brother though, why couldn't she at least go see him at least.

Wait she could go see him, but the trouble was she didn't want to see Vlad. She guessed she could always go see her brother while Vlad was at work, obviously Danny wouldn't be with him for that and all who would be there is probably Vlad's staff and Danny would keep them from ratting her out right? Yes of course he would after all Danny would be in trouble too if Vlad found out.

So it was settled this weekend she would go see her brother while Vlad was at work, she would rather go during the week but she had school and she might get in trouble if she skipped. Getting past the rents would be a challange but it was nothing she couldn't handle that was for sure.

Chapter 17

The Fight



It was about 7 pm when Danny finally woke up and when he did Vlad was waiting so he could get some answers from the teen about his actions today and the older hybrid was not happy so when the teen woke he gave him a cold glare which the teen returned.



"I want an explaintion for your actions today Daniel and I will not take 'No' for an answer"Vlad said coldly getting strait to the point of why he was there.



"And what if I don't feel like talking?"Danny said not taking his eyes off Vlad.



"Oh you will talk unless you want to feel real toture this time!"Vlad said rather harshly but he didn't care what the teen did was really stupid and dangerous.



"Oh I'm so scared....NOT! Seriously Vlad you don't scare me so what makes you think I'll tell you anything?"Danny said he really didn't care if he was out of line the man was also out of line. he had no right to order him around.

"It's only a matter of time Daniel you will crack eventually and you know it!"Vlad said to him he did after all deserve an explanation for the boy scaring him half to death although he wasn't about to tell Danny that no he was too angry to tell him that he'd scared him with his little stunt.

"Yeah maybe I will or maybe I won't, you know I could do this all night and still not tell you a thing so why don't you just give up Vlad"Danny challenged he was sick of this he just wanted to go home or better get away from Vlad that's all he wanted! Sure what he did was a bit rash but he was desperate!

"Give up? You really think you're going to get out of this that easily! I think not now tell me why did you pull that stupid stunt today? Especially when you didn't have your powers do you realize you could have gotten seriously hurt out there!"

"I know I could have but I was being careful! Besides what do you care! YOU TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY FROM ME AND I JUST WANTED TO SEE MY FAMILY ONE LAST TIME BEFORE...Before I considered killing myself for real!"Danny shouted with tears rolling down his face.

Vlad was taken aback by Danny's outburst the teen had actually cosidered suicide just to get rid of his hurt. Vlad didn't know what to say but the boy needed some help and right now he needed comfort but he didn't know if he should try after all the young hybrid was angry at him still he couldn't just stand there the did after all give him the answer he was looking for but he had no idea that his homesickness was that bad for the child to consider suicide.

"Dear boy...please don't tell me you were serious about that decsion?"Vlad said concern in his voice now.

Danny noticed that the man's mood changed and how could he let himself be tricked by reverse psyhcology or let himself cry infront of the older hybrid AGAIN! he decided to get out of there he needed to be alone and he had almost forgotten that he had gotten his ghost powers back 2 hours ago. He phased through the floor.

Vlad was shocked when the young hybrid made a run for it but he wasn't going to let him do this no, not again he can't avoid answering him forever.

Danny had run into the living room how was it that he always ended up here whenever he needed to hide although this was a safe place either so he phased through the floor again into the basement and curled up in the darkest corner to hide. Danny sobbed quitely in the dark until he heard someone coming.

Vlad had put his hearing on high alert and he had heard the sound of crying coming from the basement and he knew that had to be Daniel and sure enough there he was in the dark crying. Vlad stopped he needed to make sure Danny wasn't going to run again and when he was he walked up to him.

Vlad put a hand on his shoulder and whispered to him "It's alright little badger you don't have to be afraid to cry infront of me" Vlad started to wipe away Danny's tears and Danny tried to move away from him but it was no use he was cornered after all.

"Shh Daniel you're alright now please tell me were you serious when you said you considered killing yourself"Vlad said softly trying to make eye contact with him.

"Yes"Danny sniffled

"But why? Daniel what about Jasmine she knows you're alive would you really want to break her heart?"he asked the boy

"I wouldn't be because you already did"Danny answrered

"Excuse me? How did I break her heart?"Vlad didn't understand.

"You took me away from her and my family I could tell that Jazz was on the verge of tears when she left that night"Danny told him

"It didn't look like tha-"

"Of course it didn't look like that to you! But she is my sister I know her better than you!"Danny shouted interupting Vlad.

"Okay I get your point but suicide is never the answer to anything Daniel besides Jasmine's heart isn't the only one you would break"Vlad said

"Who else's would I break?"Danny said courious.

"Mine"Vlad said flatly"Danny I know I've never shown it but I love you like a son and if you died I don't know what I would do"

Danny was too shocked for words.

"I don't expect you to feel the same way about me but you should know that is the reason I kidnapped you and not your mother, I'm just sorry I didn't tell you sooner"Vlad said and left the room

Chapter 16

The Chase



As usual Vlad wakes up very early so he can go to work, It's 5 am when he wakes up he knows that Danny is probably still sleeping but he knew that he was going to be gone most of the day so he went into the boy's room to tell him.



But when Vlad went in the room he saw that the teen wasn't there Where the blazes did he go Vlad thought and looked around the room until he came to the balcony. He saw that there was a rope tied to the side of it, and that the rest of it lead to the ground.



"Oh Sugar Cane Daniel ran away"Vlad said and then thought about last night he had saw that the teen took some food but he thought he was actually eating again, well that was stupid to think.



"Well he couldn't have gotten far afterall he doesn't have his powers back yet and he wont get them back for another 12 hours." he said to himself, he guessed he wouldn't be going to work today cause he had only 12 hours to find him and he has no idea where the young hybrid is since he isn't in his ghost form he can't track his ghost signature, he guessed he would have to find him by flying around his property afterall he couldn't have made it off the property yet it was impossible without ghost powers.

Meanwhile Danny was still asleep until the alarm on his watch went off, it was 5am he knew Vlad usually went to work around 5 or 5:30 am so he knew it was time to start running again. He got out of the cave and checked the area before he went anywhere just to make sure there were no ghost or wild animals around.

Once he was sure it was safe he continued on not even noticing the pair of purple eyes watching him from the bushes.

In the bushes was none other than Jack that ghost that Danny met last night, Jack far enough away for him not to be detected by Danny's ghost sense but he was close enough to see where he was going.

Now if I can get the kid I bet Plasmius would be putty in my hands Jack thought as he watch the teen go question was how to get him right the Danny was on full alert so his mind wasn't wandering at all so Jack would not be able to control his mind unless it wondered for at least one minute then he would be able to control him but that didn't seem like an option right now but taking him by force was he just had to grab him before Plasmius found him.

But that's easier said than done he has heard of Danny Phantom and that kid always seemed to get away from even the most powerful est of ghosts so this could be tricky although last he checked the kid didn't have his powers so that could work to his advantage he hoped.

Back to Danny he didn't know how much farther he had to go but he hoped it wasn't too far all he needed to do was get to next town and get on a plane or get on a bus anything to get away from Vlad.

"Okay Fenton get a hold of yourself you have 12 hours until you get your powers back and Vlad can't track you so there is nothing to worry about right?"he asked himself then his ghost sense went off good thing the Plasmius Maximus didn't take that away or he would be an easy target for a ghost.

He looked around for the ghost prepared to fight even though the only ghost weapons he had were the ecto gun and the Fenton Thermos, but as long as this ghost wasn't too powerful he could handle it.

The ghost came out and revealed itself as Wolf, Danny couldn't believe it that it was one the only ghost he was friends with that he sensed.

When Wolf saw Danny he charged and shouted "Amigo" and licked Danny while giving him a hug.

"Ha ha hey Wolf I'm glad to see you too but what are you doing here"Danny asked

"Estoy huyendo de Walker"Wolf said Danny remembered that Wolf spoke spanish good thing he learnt some or else he wouldn't be able to understand him.

"So he's after you again huh, well don't worry I won't let him get you"Danny said

"Que estas haciendo aqui amigo"Wolf asked

"Running away from Plasmius"Danny said

"El Plasmius Vlad"Wolf said surprized

"Yeah do you want to help me?"Danny asked his friend.

"Si, yo te ayudare si tu me ayudas"Wolf said

"Of course I'll help you Wolf what are friends for"Danny asked

And they headed on there way it was 12:00 when they stopped for a brake, for one thing Danny was exhausted he had been running practically all night and he only got about 2 hours of sleep and they had been running all morning. He took out the map he brought but it wouldn't be much use it was a map of Wisconsin not of Vlad's forest so he had no idea how close he was to the city or not.

Wolf agreed to keep look out while Danny tries to get some more sleep.

Vlad only had 5 hours to find Danny before he got his powers back unless the boy got eaten by some hungry animal first which was not making the older hybrid feel better.

"When I find Daniel he is going to get a Major lecture from me about how stupid and dangerous this was"Vlad said angrily why hadn't he expected this well he should of but why didn't he well he wasn't going to find the teen by just flying around he had to split up and he knew exactly how.

Vlad dupilicated himself into 5 of himself so they could cover the whole forest, the real one also went too and he saw a Wolf? A ghost wolf to be exact and there was a cave near by and the wolf looked where he was and went in the cave.

"Amigo, amigo Plasmius Vlad esta qui"the wolf said so he speaks spanish Vlad thought but who was his friend.

Danny who was in the cave heard this and was scared how was he supose to get out of here if Vlad was here this was not good.

"Wolf go distract him while I escape"Danny says

"Como la unica salida es a traves Entrando uno y que esta donde esta"Wolf askes and Danny knew that Wolf was right how was he going to get out of this.

Danny didn't know that Vlad heard every word that they were saying, and Vlad was surprized that Daniel knew this ghost and that he knew how to understand spanish these were things that Vlad never knew about the young hybrid.

He decided that he should crash their party and show himself to them, lets see how you get out of this one little badger Vlad thought but what was he going to do about Daniel's friend of course Daniel can't fight but his friend can so he might be a problem.

Danny was shocked when Vlad just phased through he must have heard us Danny thought he knew that Wolf wasn't strong enough to take on Plasmius and his ecto gun definately wasn't going to do any damage to him.

Just then his ghost sense went off oh no Walker Wolf has to get out of here Danny thought and so did he Walker and him were not the best of friends which means he would have to go with Vlad as much as he hated the idea he had no choice unless he wanted to spend the rest of his life in Walker's prison.

"Wolf get out of here run!"Danny said and those were not the words Vlad was expecting from him was he giving up?

"Go now Wolf before he finds you"Danny said and Wolf used his claws and opened a portal to the ghost zone and went through before Walker could come to the cave.

Vlad was really confused he had alot of questions but they would have to wait until they got back since it looked like Daniel gave up on trying to run.

"You win I'll go back"Danny said sadly to think he was so close on getting away from here and walked closer to Vlad he knew he would have to be carried back to the mansion even though he hated it.

"I hope your ready to talk when we get back Daniel you have a lot of explaining to do"Vlad said picking the teen up and flying back to the mansion and he didn't even notice that Danny fell asleep in his arms.

When they got back Vlad put him in his room and decided to wait until the boy woke up to ask questions.

Chapter 15

Run Away Plan





Danny was sick of not getting any answers from Vlad and he was defiantly sick of staying here so he decided that tonight when Vlad was asleep he was leaving and probably never coming back. He had everything he needed to do it too he stole some food from the kitchen if Vlad saw him he didn't think he cared he was probably just happy to see him eating again.



He got some rope so he could climb out and escape through the balcony and run to the forest, Vlad would never suspect a thing Danny thought to himself since Danny couldn't use his powers for another I don't know how many hours he would be able to sneak away without Vlad knowing he was leaving.



At midnight Danny packed his bag with everything he would need to survive until he got his powers back, he was going to have to be quick since Vlad would know he was gone when he woke up and that would be long before he had his powers back since he lost his powers at five O-clock last night he wouldn't get them back until five O-clock tonight and he didn't know how far he could get on foot.



At twelve thirty am he made sure Vlad was asleep and then headed for his bedroom balcony, he tied the rope on to the side of it and started climbing down the rope. When he made it to the ground he didn't expect anyone to be outside until he heard a voice.



"Man I hate this job and I hate working for that half ghost freak"Said a voice and Danny seen one of Vlad employees the guy who took care of the horses to be exact. What was his name again John no Jake no Jack that's his name hopefully he doesn't see me Danny thought but unfortanutly his wish didn't come true.



The ghost disguised as a human looked at and Danny couldn't really tell but he thought he saw the ghost smiling.



"Why hello young hybrid what are you doing out here so late at night"Said Jack not believing his luck at finding the young hybrid that was now living with his employer, he had seen the boy flying around the property all the time but has never met him in person until now. He looked at the rope and saw that either he was sneaking out or running away and he could be the key to for destroying Vlad Plasmius.



And he doubted that the teen knew about his mind controling powers, and a child's mind was so much easier to control than an adult's since a child's mind wonders more than an adult's and it was even easier if they were half ghost since ghost were the easiest things to control cause the don't have a brain animals were also easy to control since they have such small brains, humans are the hardest because they have bigger brains but children's minds wonder more than adults so they are easier to control.

"Oh uh no reason I guess"Danny said he was scared that this ghost was going to rat him out and tell Vlad who will be mad and then he'd really be in trouble. Although what is the worst thing that the man could do to him, the worst would probaly be tickle him again or he could really torture him yeah that would be worst.

Jack could tell that he wasn't telling the truth. "It's okay kid you can tell me the truth I'm not going tell on you"Jack said why would he, he hated his empolyer and obviously the kid didn't like it here either or else he wouldn't be trying to run away.

Danny didn't say anything instead he looked at the ghost who had turned into back into his ghost form. He had green eyes just like Danny's when he was in his ghost form he wore a coat and tie and was blue.

"Okay don't tell Vlad but I'm leaving and I mean like for good I'm not coming back, I hate it here and I hate that Vlad took me away from my family and mad me stay here so now I'm leaving just don't tell him where I'm going ok um.. Jack is it"Danny said and he just realized that this ghost had the same name as his dad.

"Well don't worry he won't know at least he won't find out from me"Jack said and thought if he cpould kidnap the kid then his master would give up.

"Well I better let you go kid before my master wakes up"Jack said and Danny ran as fast as he could to the forest.

Danny made it to the forest at about three am he decided that he should try and get some sleep after all he wouldn't be able to run if he used up all his energy. He found a hiding place in a cave after he walked another mile and man was he tired, so Danny set up camp and went to sleep.

Chapter 14

Help







After Danny went to his room he took the picture of his loved ones and looked at and remembered all the good times he had in Amity Park. He remembered when he met Tucker and when he had first met Sam and how they had been there when he first got his ghost powers. Danny sighed he really did miss them and wasn't right that Vlad kept him away from them but what was he suppose to do I mean it wasn't like he could leave.





If he could he would have left a long time ago. But right now he couldn't go anywhere cause the fruit loop shorted his powers for 24 hours. Although Danny was surprised that Vlad hadn't come up yet to talk to him, it wasn't like him just to leave him alone like he asked unless he was busy right now that was the most likely reason so he was going to talk to him just not right now but later.



He didn't care though he was glad that Vlad wasn't coming up to talk he didn't want to talk to the man right now especially about his family. He shouldn't even be talking about them after all the older hybrid was the one that took him away from them so he has no right to tell him that he doesn't need them when he did. So what if he missed them it's not like he can fix that he can't get rid of his emotions, and he didn't want to either he knew what would happen if he did especially if he was depressed.



"I don't want to become him and Vlad isn't going to make me either"he said to himself and he thought that maybe he should run away although that was going to be hard in his human form but it wasn't impossible.

Of course the peace couldn't last forever cause here comes trouble and his name is Vlad Danny thought to himself when the man came into his room with an innocent smile but it was also sad probaly because he felt guilty which Danny thought wasn't an emotion that the older hybrid knew since he had never seemed guilty before.



Danny turned away so he wouldn't have to look at him, Vlad frowned when he did this because he just wanted to talk to him to make him feel better but apparently he was both homesick and angry now and he was angry with him.



"Daniel please just listen to me I didn't mean to make you feel so sad little badger honest"he said beggingly to the boy.



Danny turned around but he just glared at the man "Yeah I know you didn't mean to Plasmius but the fact is you did and I don't want to talk about it because there is nothing you can say that will make me feel better about being here. The only thing that will make me feel better is if I go home but I can't do that now can I not without revieling my secret thanks to you!"he said a little more harshly then he intended



"Daniel please just talk to me I know you said don't want to but I know you need to keeping it bottled up isn't going to help you it's just going to make you feel worse and I'm not leaving until you talk to me Daniel"he said seriously because he knew he wasn't going to get anything accomplished until he knew the boy was alright.



Was he serious he wasn't going to leave until he talked to him man he really was a fruit loop but it wouldn't do him any good he wasn't saying anything no matter how much he wanted to besides he had already cried in front of him before and he was not doing that again which would happen if he talked about, so he wasn't saying anything.



Well he guessed his threat didn't work since he still wasn't talking great he's probaly going to make me stay here all night or until he gets his powers back Vlad thought to himself fine if he won't talk I'll make him talk Vlad thought again.



He went closer to Danny and sat on the bed, Danny wasn't looking at him so he didn't know what the man had planned. "Did I ever tell you that I just hate being ignored"he said evily now almost touching the boy.



Danny didn't like that tone in the man's voice when he said that so he was about to move away from him until he touched him and started tickling him and he thought cheater when he started laughing uncontrollably.



Finally hearing the boy laugh was like music to his ears since he hadn't heard him laugh in two weeks and he didn't care that it was by force besides any laughter was good laughter right. Anyway this is the only other way he knew how to get the boy to talk, and who said torture had to be torture after all he didn't want to hurt him.

"Ha-Sto-hp"Danny cried through his laughter unfortunately he couldn't say a strait sentence, and he couldn't get away cause Vlad had him pinned and he didn't have his powers not like they would help he couldn't concentrate.

Vlad could understand what he was saying he just wasn't listening to the young hybrid until he gives up which he probaly would soon cause he did not like this but he gave him no choice he probaly would have done this soon anyways since he wanted to hear the boy happy and laugh.

"I won't stop until you agree to talk little badger"he said trying to find the boy's ticklish spot and when he did it to the boy's stomach well he guessed he found it since the teen struggled harder "Ah so that's where it is"he said with a smirk.

"O-kay hahahah Stop, stop haha I'll hah talk"Danny said he couldn't take it anymore and as soon as he said that Vlad finally stopped and let him up and now his gut hurt from laughing so much.

"Now that you agreed will you please tell me what is bothering you my boy"Vlad said

"I just miss them okay and I know that I'll never see them again cause of what you did so that just made me more upset and that the only one that knows I'm alive is Jazz and everyone else thinks I'm dead and I want you to tell me why you did it. Why Vlad why did you do all this just so I can be your son which I will never be and I also thought you wanted my mom so I don't quite understand why I'm the only one here."Danny said hoping that this time he would get some answers cause he asked Vlad this last time and he didn't give him any answers.

He still wasn't ready to tell Daniel the reason why he was here and his mother was not so he would have to tell him that "Daniel as I have said before I'm not ready to tell you why yet I'm not saying I won't tell I'm just saying I won't tell you now and about the other stuff there is nothing I can do I know you miss them but you have to let them go their your past and this is your future"he said sincerly

Danny frowned that he wasn't getting any answers and Vlad saw this "Trust me Daniel you'll thank me for doing this some day"he said to the teen and then left.

Chapter 13

Homesick



It had almost been two weeks since Vlad had kidnapped Danny. Vlad had noticed that the teen wasn't eating much or leaving his room, he thought they had gotten through the rebellion stage but he guessed not or maybe it was not rebellion maybe he wasn't feeling well again. If that was so then why hadn't the teen told him even though he knew Danny was trying to avoid him.

"Well if he doesn't confess I'll have to confront him"he said as he went towards the dinning room, and then he sees the person he was looking for.

"Morning Daniel"he said the boy jumped when he heard the older hybrid say his name.

Danny didn't say anything cause he didn't know what to say and he didn't feel like talking to the man right now so he got up and left when Vlad sat down.

Vlad frowned when he seen this "Robbie did he eat?"Vlad asked his cook hoping that he did.

"Yes but he didn't eat much"Robbie said with sigh.

Just as Vlad had thought he had to find out what was wrong and fast before the teen starved himself to death. He went up to the teen's room, he knocked on the door but there was no answer so he just decided to phase in since he knew the would probably not answer. He saw Danny just staring at the wall with barely any emotion on his face, he didn't even seem to notice the man had just phased in the room.

"Daniel"Vlad called to get his attention, the teen didn't respond he just looked at him.

"Are you feeling alright little badger?"he asked there was still no response, Vlad went up to the teen and lifted his chin so he would look at him but Danny flinched away.

"Daniel I know something is wrong because you've barely been eating anything and I know you've been trying to avoid me."he said concerned then he continued "If you aren't feeling well little badger you should have told me I've been worried about you-" he didn't finish because the teen finally spoke up.

"You think I'm sick"Danny said glaring "You think that's why I've been avoiding you and why I've barely been eating well guess again cause you only got half of it right when you have figured the other half out then talk to me until then leave me alone!"

Vlad didn't know what to say to the boy's outburst or even do he was sure that was what was wrong with the boy but he guessed not but what did he mean "you only half of it right" Vlad didn't know but he respected the boy's wishes and left.

He went to his private study to think about what Daniel had said, he said that he had only gotten half of it right but what did that mean wait half he must have meant sick but he told him he wasn't sick unless this was a different kind of sick.

"But what kind of sick, gee Daniel I thought mind games was my thing"He said with a sigh then he looked at one his medical books until he saw something that wasn't really a sickness but did usaully happen to people often.

It read Homesickness is usually cased by being away from one's home to long the are usually depressed and don't really want to eat anything kind of like love sick.

"Homesick of course! why didn't I figure that out sooner"he said and then he started heading back to the boy's room that he was sorry and that he should have known when he felt Daniel's ecto signature come to life.

He followed it outside where he saw the boy flying somewhere he quickly changed to Plasmius and teleported infront of him so he couldn't run.

Danny bumped into Vlad and quickly tried to fly away but Vlad grabbed his arm so he couldn't and squised his arm when he tried to turn intangable.

"You're not going anywhere until we talk Daniel"He said to him seriously since he knew the teen was trying to run away.

Danny stuggled so Vlad had no choice but to use the Plasmius Maximus which would short his powers for 24 hours, the boy screamed and then he turned human he would have fell if Vlad wasn't holding onto his arm, he carried Danny inside no matter how much he protested against it.

"I thought I told you to leave me alone"Danny said annoyed at the man for shorting his powers.

"And I thought I told you not leave the property"Vlad said angry.

"I wasn't going to leave the property frootloop I was just going out to the forest"Danny explained even though he didn't know why he had too.

Vlad blinked in surprise he didn't know that well at least the boy couldn't run from their conversation now but he should say sorry for shorting his powers when he didn't do anything wrong.

"Sorry Daniel I didn't know but I also want to say I'm sorry for something else"He said to the boy who's face turned from a glare to a confused face.

"I wanted to say that I'm sorry I said you were sick when you're actaully just homesick I'm sorry Daniel I should have known"he said sencerly to the teen.

"Do you want to talk about it?"he asked Danny, but he just shoke his head. Vlad felt guilty he didn't want to make the teen so sad, he went to sit beside Daniel who had tears running down his face he put hand on his shoulder and tried to comfort him but nothing seemed to work.

"It'll get little badger please don't cry"He begged, Danny wiped the tears from his eyes and tried to shift away from Vlad but he wouldn't let not this time.

"I'm going to make you talk about my boy but it would be nice if you did, I just want to help you little badger and really wish you'd let me"Vlad said and then let go of Danny the boy went strait to his room without a word.

"I'll confront him later"Vlad said and went down to his lab.

Chapter 12

Hidden Secrets

Jazz had gotten back two days ago but she wouldn't tell Sam and Tucker a thing about what happened all she said was that Danny wasn't in Wisconsin and that she knew that Vlad didn't have him.

"Come on Jazz you know more than you're letting on I can tell"said Tucker when they were at school.

"Really you guys I'm telling the truth my little brother isn't there I looked all over and I even went to Vlad's and he had no idea where Danny is or even if he is still alive"she said feeling guilty for lying to them but she had promised Danny that she wouldn't tell them or anyone but she still felt bad for lying.

"Jazz you can't say I know Danny is still alive I can feel it"said Sam

"If you guys don't believe me go to Wisconsin yourself and you'll see that I'm not lying"Jazz said more harsh than she had intended.

"look Jazz were sorry it's just that I guess it's hard to admit that Danny might be dead"Tucker said and Sam nodded in agreement.

The three of them heard the bell ring and went to their classes with one person on their minds Danny.

Danny had manged to skip the conversation Vlad wanted to finish considering Vlad had to go back to work he had been on vacation when he kidnapped Danny.

Danny was so relieved about that and he really wished he had never brought that up because he didn't want Vlad getting involved with his business especially something like this.

He still couldn't get that dream out of his head what he had seen it was well unbelievable he also couldn't get Jazz out of his mind. He really missed his family and he really wanted to go home and see his friends but that was not going to work since everyone thought he was dead except Jazz.

He had decided to explore the mansion and go outside while Vlad was gone he loved the senary around the house but still it was no Amity Park it didn't matter what he did he still felt homesick and there wasn't really anything he could do about it.

Vlad was still puzzled about who had visited Danny. Vlad had not sensed anyone in his room unless this ghost's signature couldn't be sensed.

But that was impossible. Well not really Vlad only knew one ghost that could do that.

Clockwork

But how had Daniel met Clockwork he barely left the forbidden region of the Ghost Zone. Vlad had met him because the ghost had come to warn him about something that might happen in the future and it concerned the young half ghost who was now living with him.

Clockwork had said that in the future Danny wouldn't be strong enough to fight a certain ghost and that this ghost would kill him. That was the reason he had kidnapped Danny he would have probaly done it anyways but still Vlad was trying to keep him safe cause this ghost killed Daniel to get back at him, at lest thats what Clockwork said.

Chapter 11

Night Horror

Danny's fever finally broke but the young hybrid was still unconscious. Vlad didn't know what he was going to do he guessed he could try waking him but the boy looked so peaceful.

But then the boy started tossing and turning Vlad thought he was going to hurt himself Danny was already weak from the fever. Vlad had a scary thought what if the fever came back? the man decided he had to wake Daniel up before he hurt himself or worse.

"Daniel come on wake up you're alright" he said starting to shake the young half ghost lightly he finally began to stir. Danny's eyes began to open.

When Danny opened his eyes he gasped when he saw Vlad's dark blue eyes starring at him on instinct he tried to get up but Vlad stopped him.

"No" he said calmly looking at the teen he had scared him but he was glad that Daniel was alright "You need to rest but first I need you to eat something"

Danny didn't really understand what happened but then it all came back to he had fainted on the roof and also remembered the dream he had before that happened.

Vlad got the soup, he had added something extra to help the teen to heal faster and he really hoped that Danny wouldn't notice.

"Okay open" he said to Danny but he just gave the man a you're crazy look.

If he thinks that I'm let him feed me like a baby he really is a fruit loop Danny thought as Vlad brought the spoon closer to his mouth.

I knew he was going to be stubborn Vlad thought mentally "Daniel come on don't make me force you" he said at how childish Daniel was acting.

Danny just turned his head away in response he was going to let him get rid of his pride.

Vlad was getting irritated of course he had expected the teen not cooperate but this was ridiculous, he made Danny turn his head and then he had an idea "Danny please cooperate"

Danny wanted to struggle but then he heard the man call him Danny he never called him that he always used "dear boy" or "My boy" or "little badger" but the one he used constantly was "Daniel" never "Danny".

The boy stopped struggling and he opened his mouth Vlad smiled at how his plan had worked and put the spoon in his mouth.

Once Danny had finished Vlad had told him just to go back to sleep and that they would talk about this in the morning.

Great the teen thought sarcastically now they had yet another bonding conversation for him to look forward to.

But Danny couldn't get that dream out of his head he hoped the man wouldn't ask about what had woke him well at least he was feeling better that was one good thing.

Chapter 10

Night fright

Vlad had debated going to check on Danny after Jasmine had left because they had not finished what they were talking about before she arrived and he also wanted to see if he was okay because he looked sad.

Vlad couldn't help but feel a little guilty for making the young hybrid feel so sad because he knew it was his fault that Daniel was upset but he hadn't thought about but he noticed that Daniel did not look well actually the boy had looked awfully pale and he meant more than usual.

Vlad figured that if Daniel wasn't feeling well that the boy would probably tell him. Or maybe not why would he after all he knew that the teen did not trust him so why would he ever tell him about his health.

Vlad went to bed thinking that he would ask Daniel tomorrow if he was feeling well if the boy didn't confess he could always run an analysis on him even if he had to do it by force.

Two hours later...

"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Vlad heard a scream Daniel he thought. Well he guessed that answered if the boy was alright.

He guessed he should go check on Danny and see if he was alright he must of had a nightmare and it must have been a bad one to make him scream that loud. Hopefully Daniel was okay.

He knocked on the door no answer he knocked again this time a little louder again no answer he decided to call and see if that worked "Daniel" he called and still no answer he was getting a little frustrated he knew the teen had not just simply gone back to sleep.

"Daniel I'm coming in alright" Vlad said and still no answer he walked into the room and realized that he was not even in the room "Butter biscuits where is he?"

Then he sensed Danny's ecto signature and followed it, the signal was coming from outside so he changed into his ghost form he flew up and found Daniel sitting on the roof knee's up to his chest arms on his knee's and his head looking up at the full moon.

He couldn't tell if the boy looked sick or not because he was in ghost form, the teen let out a sigh and started to get up.

Vlad finally found the courge to speak up "How long have you been out here"

Danny jumped when he heard the older hybrid's voice but then he relaxed and answered "About fifteen minutes"Danny grabbed his head he still felt dizzy.

Vlad seen this and floated closer "Are you alright"he asked worried.

Danny was about to answer but then he felt very faint and he blacked out.

"DANIEL!"Vlad cried out in panic as he watched the young half ghost faint and change back. Vlad caught him and started to shake him really scared.

"Daniel, Daniel come on little badger wake up" but nothing worked he put his hand on the boys forehead and he realized the boy had a really high fever he took the boy back to his room.

"Phil I need you to bring me some cold water, towels, and a cup of tea and some soup" he told his butler and then he went and sat near Daniel's bed no one had ever scared him like this and he guessed he knew that the boy was sick but he ignored all the signs.

He put his hand on the teens "I'm sorry Daniel" he said to the teen softly and waited for Phil to return.

Chapter 9

Nightmares

After Danny went to his room it didn't take long for him to fall asleep and after the events that happened last night he began to dream....

Danny woke up and found himself in Vlad's lab. Why am I here he thought, he tried to get up but he realized that he was strapped to a table.

He tried to struggle free even though he knew it was useless and then suddenly a hand went on to his shoulder. The next minute he saw Vlad with a surgically mask and apron on.

"Don't struggle Daniel it'll just make it worse" said Vlad trying to calm him.

"Vlad what's going on why are you wearing that and why am I.." Danny didn't finish because Vlad put 2 fingers to his mouth.

"Don't worry little badger it'll all be over soon you won't feel the pain anymore" said Vlad going to a table and noticed what was on it.

The Ghost Gauntlets.

Now Danny knew what was going on and he was scared that horrible future was going to come true and there was nothing Danny could do to stop it from happening.

Vlad came back with a mask "Okay Daniel I'm going to put you under now" he said and tried to put the mask on but Danny started to struggle again and again Vlad put a comforting hand on his shoulder "Shh little badger don't worry everything is going to be all right I promise but remember this my boy" Vlad said softly then he kissed Danny on the forehead "I love You"

And those were the last words that Danny herd before the scene changed everything went black and then Danny herd familiar evil laughter.

"Hello Danny remember me" said the voice.

How could Danny forget that voice then suddenly Dan Phantom appeared in front of his face.

"Ha you thought you could run from your future well look where you are now"Dan at Danny and grabbed him and looked him right in the face.

"I still exist which means you still turn into me" Dan said and laughed evilly and then Danny began to feel himself changing he could feel himself growing fangs and his ears beginning to grow pointed..

"NO" Danny screamed and sat up in his bed drenched with sweat and hyperventilating he got out of bed and looked in the mirror to see if it had been real.

He looked normal so it was just a dream or more like a nightmare this was the third one he's had since he came to live with Vlad but tonight's was the worst yet.

He decided to go for a midnight flight to clear his mind and to relax him he didn't even notice that he looked paler than usual.

Danny flew up to the roof and looked at the stars and the full moon and he felt kinda dizzy so he went and sat on the roof.

Chapter 8

Danny's Explanation

When they got into the living room Danny started telling Jazz what happened before and after Sam called but then Jazz interrupted for the bazillionth time.

"Okay wait what did he do after you woke up and realized where you were" Jazz asked.

"Jazz I told you a hundred times already"Danny complained because it was true.

"Just tell me Danny" she said pleadingly while Vlad gave an amused face at the two teens fighting.

"Fine" Danny said annoyed and the continued "Okay like I said I tried to escape got caught then he zaped me with the Plasmius Maximus which shorted my powers for a day because he upgraded it. Then he tried to catch me I doged and went for the door when I realized it was locked it was too late because his duplicate caught me and then took me back to the couch. Then by force he made sit sideways on his lap while still holding me in a fice grip then the real Vlad came up to me and forcefully injected a serum into me which made me sleep for two days got it" Danny asked.

Jazz nodded and then Danny told her that she would have to ask Vlad for the rest because he was not telling it and also he didn't really know.

"No! I'm not letting that fruit loop explain anything to me" Jazz said giving Vlad a glare.

"I'm hurt that you don't trust me Jasmine" said Vlad showing a fake hurt look

"Well unless you don't want to hear the rest Jazz I would ask him because I'm not telling it" said Danny in a serious voice.

"No I think I got all I need Danny at least enough to tell Tucker and Sam and mom and dad" said Jazz in low voice.

"What?!"Danny shouted "No Jazz you can't tell them none of them this has to stay between us" he said still shocked that Jazz would suggest his parents.

"May I interrupt" Vlad said " I'm sorry Jasmine but did you just say your parents because they saw Daniel's body so they would not believe unless you were planning on telling the Daniel's secret"Vlad said giving her his own glare now.

"Well actually yeah I was." said Jazz hestintally

"What! No! No! No! Jazz thats my secret you have no right to tell them anything about Danny Phantom"Danny shouted angrily at his sister.

"But Danny don't you want to come home and be with your family again instead of living here and being miserible." Jazz said now tears in her teal eyes.

"Of course I do but I don't want to reveal my secret and then get made into a sience experiment Jazz didn't you think of that." said Danny annoyed.

"SIENCE EXPERIMENT! You really think Mom and Dad would do that Danny." Jazz shouted back.

"Maybe not mom and dad but what about the Guys in White Jazz they'll find out and then I'll have to leave again and probaly never come back." Danny shouted.

"I-I never thought of that" Jazz said the tears starting to run down her face "But Danny I miss you and I want you to come home." she said now crying.

"Jazz please don't cry I miss you guys but there's nothing I can do so Jazz please go home and don't tell them anything just say I wasn't here okay"Danny said pleadingly.

"Okay little brother I won't say anything as long as he promises to take care of you" Jazz said indicating Vlad who Danny forgot was still in the room.

"I promise that Daniel will be fine with me." he said coming up to Danny and putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Okay well Bye Danny"Jazz said and hugging Danny One last time when they got to the door.

"Bye Jazz"said Danny tears rolling down his face and returned her hug and then let go still tears in his ocean blue and her teal eyes.

When Jazz left Danny headed straight for his room and Vlad didn't stop him knowing that would want to be alone.

Chapter 7

Unexpected Visitors



Jazz decided to go alone because Tucker and Sam had to study for a big English test for tomorrow and plus Jazz was allowed to take some time off school mostly until she was emotionally ready and also because her grades were good and the best in the school.



So the next day after she was packed she took the speeder and started heading to Wisconsin. all she wanted to do was find her brother and hope that he was still alive and not with Vlad.



She didn't have to worry about her parents coming home because they said that they wouldn't be back until Monday night. They were taking some time off to sort a get over Danny.



She really hoped that Sam was right and that was just a trick by Vlad and that Danny was either hiding or fighting for his life.



It was already 5 pm and she had left at noon. She was just flying over Madison and almost at Vlad mansion she hoped that Danny would not be there but it did not hurt to check or ask Vlad if he had seen Danny.



Jazz parked the speeder by a few trees and started going towards the door.

Danny and Vlad were In the living room and Danny was about to ask him if he knew Clockwork but he didn't know how to say it without making it sound suspicious because he wasn't ready to tell Vlad about how he had met Clockwork in the first place or about his fear of becoming him or about that weird alternate future he had seen.

No he couldn't tell him that but he could say that he got a visit from Clockwork in his room and tell him that Clockwork said and maybe find out how he knows Clockwork.

"So Daniel what did you want to talk about" asked Vlad looking hopeful that he might tell him what he is so afraid of even though Danny had only been there for two days.

Uh-Oh Danny froze he didn't know what to say. Why in the was he so scared of talking to the older hybrid. Well actually he wasn't afraid of talking to him he was afraid of the questions Vlad could ask him.

"Well you see before you came to get me I got a visitor" Danny said finally in sort a scared voice.

"Really who? Cause I told all of my employees to leave you alone" Vlad said thinking that one of employees may have disobeyed him.

"What?! No no it was not any of your employees" said Danny surprised that Vlad thought someone had disobeyed him.

"Then who was it Daniel" Vlad asked now seriously confused.

"It was..." Danny never finished because someone just rang the door bell.

"Hold on little badger I'll be right back" said Vlad heading to the door wondering who in the world would bother him at almost 6 at night especially when he was on holiday.

When Vlad got to the window he did not expect to see Jasmine there and quickly raced back to Daniel he could not let Jasmine see Daniel here or let Daniel see Jasmine.

"Daniel go to your room" Vlad said trying to hide the panic in his voice but it didn't succeed.

"Huh? Why? and why do you look like you've seen my dad in boxer shorts" said Danny he had seen that same look when Jazz saw their dad in boxer shorts.

Ugh! Great now he had that horrible picture in his mind but he had to get Danny out of here "Please Daniel don't argue and go to your room please we can finish our talk after my guest goes away I promise okay" Vlad asked pleadingly.

"Okay " Danny said even though he didn't want to he went to the staircase and started climbing the steps but when Vlad left he went invisible and followed him wanting to know who had made look a little scared.

Vlad answered the door finally after the doorbell had rang about a million times and looked down at Jazz and said "Why hello Jasmine what brings you to Wisconsin" he said with an Innocent smile.

"You know exactly what brings me out here fruit loop" said Jazz giving him a glare.

"If you're here about Daniel well you know he's dead." said Vlad

"NO HE IS NOT AND YOU KNOW IT!" shouted Jazz

"Hm. you know Jasmine you're very smart how did you know that Daniel is alive" said Vlad with 'I know something you don't know' smile.

"Well you maybe a fruit loop but I know for a fact that you would never kill Danny" Jazz said with a matter of faculty tone.

Danny was watching just couple of feet away from them and couldn't believe his eyes when he seen that his sister was here to rescue him.

Vlad sighed he could sense the boy was near why hadn't he listened to him for once "Well you're right about that Jasmine so" He paused and turned around to where Danny was "Alright Daniel you can turn visible I know you're there" he said and Danny turned visible.

"DANNY!" said Jazz suprised.

"Hey Jazz" said Danny a little upset that he had gotten caught.

Jazz ran to Danny and gave him a lung crushing hug. "Jazz you're suffacating me"said Danny breathless.

"Oh sorry I was just so worried." Jazz said letting go. "But Danny what are you doing here with Vlad in Wisconsin"

"Um hello sorry to interupt your little reunion but you should know the answer to that Jasmine" said Vlad coming up to them.

"I want to here it from Danny." said Jazz glaring at Vlad.

"Jazz I can't explain everying to you because well I don't know everything but I can tell what I know if it's okay with Vlad." said Danny gesturing to Vlad.

"It's fine with me Daniel after all Jasmine already knows your here so she should know the reason why." said Vlad now going back to the living room and both teens followed.

Chapter 6

Expected Vistors

The next Day

After Danny had breakfast he went back to his room wondering what had happend to him last night. like why did he break down like that and actually let Vlad give him comfort when this was all of his fault in the first place he should hate Vlad not want comfort from him.

But the fact was all of that did happen and there was nothing he could do about it now. And also he was thinking about what Vlad said last night like how did the man know that there was something else wrong besides him just wanting to see his loved ones.

Well he was examining my face and he said it was written all over my face Danny thought but that still didn't explain how he knew because all that was on his face was sadness not fear.

And Danny knew exactly what that fear was he that if he was here then he might become evil he might become him.

Dan Phantom.

He never wanted that future to come true but here he was in Wisconsin living with Vlad. Danny knew that only one person could help him now.

Clockwork.

But how was he going to get to Clockwork? Vlad had already told him that he was not allowed to leave the property so his portal at home was out of the question. He guessed he could use Vlad's but he also told him that his priviate study, secret lab, and office were off limits plus he didn't know how to get to Clockwork's tower from here.

Danny sighed "So how am I supose to see him if I can't get to him?"

Suddenly as if answer his question a mysterious voice said "TIME OUT" and the next thing Danny knew is that there was a Time medalion around his neck and Clockwork was standing right in front of him.

"Clockwork?" Danny asked just so he was sure that this was not a halluncenation or a trick by Vlad.

"Yes Danny it is me I know you wanted to talk to me and well that you were unable to come and see me." said Clockwork.

"You knew?" said Danny even though he knew what the answer was.

"Of course Danny I know everything remeber I also know that you fear of becoming him and that alternate future becoming a reality." said Clockwork changing into his older form.

"Yeah I am. Clockwork will it happen if stay here because you probly know this but I can't leave everyone will soon think I'm dead."Danny said worried that Clockwork might not be able to help him.

"I know Danny and I know what your thinking and the answer is no. I will not prevent Vlad from tricking your parents or anything else for that matter. Clockwork said changing into a child and then back to his usual form.

"But why you know what might happen can't you fix this please I need my family, my friends please Clockwork please." said Danny pleading he really missed his family and Tucker and Sam.

"I can fix this but I won't beacause that would be interfering which I am not allowed to do and some things just happen for a reason and you have to let them take there course but remeber this Danny. Don't let your anger take control of you and you will be fine. Oh and Tell Vlad I said Hi. TIME IN" And Clockwork disapeared leaving Danny alone.

Danny couldn't belive how unfair that was although he knew Clockwork and knew that he never did anything without a reason and wait did Clockwork know Vlad because he just told me to say Hi for him to Vlad.

"This just keeps getting weirder and weirder mabey I should find and ask him instead of confusing myself." said Danny headed for the door when he all of sudden he bumped right into the person he was going to look for.

"Oh Daniel I was just coming to see you sorry about that" said Vlad noticing Danny rubbing his head.

"Thats okay Vlad I was just going to look for you actually" Danny said still a little shocked that they both wanted to see each other at the same time.

"Oh really why?" Vlad said a little confused at why Danny wasn't the least bit annoyed.

"I just wanted to talk to you thats all." said Danny

"Well alright but will do that after lunch little badger okay"said Vlad that was the real reason he was here to make sure the boy didn't starve himself.

Danny was a little confused it was lunch time already? he shrugged it off an said "Okay" and went with Vlad down stairs.

Chapter 5

The next day after school Tucker and Sam decided that they should go and see how Jazz was because the way she sounded yesterday was not good and what was also not was that she didn't come to school which Danny would say was a miricle because Jazz loved school.



DING-DONG



They rang the door bell and when no one came they just let themselfs in and went straight to Jazz's room.



"Hey Jazz" called out Sam when they got there "can we come in" and she waited for a reply and the only reply they got was Jazz opening the door.



"Hey guys" she said in very low voice "I'm very sorry about last night I over reacted" Jazz said with a frown because she was thinking of Danny.



"Well Jazz where was Danny's body with Vlad or was it by the road." asked Tucker very concerned about Jazz.



"They said that Vlad found his body by his property and that a ghost did it." said Jazz now finally realizing something "But you know what I think Vlad set that up but that doesn't make any sense how would he get mom by doing that."



"He wouldn't Jazz but I don't think Danny's dead at least not anymore." said Sam now chatching on to what Jazz was thinking.



"Why do you think that Vlad could of killed him." said Tucker still confused.



"Tucker don't you get Vlad wants them to think Danny's dead because if they think he's dead then he can kidnap him and no one would suspect a thing because no one will look for someone who's dead." said Sam in a very serious tone.



"That makes sense so what do we do know go to Wisconsin and confront Vlad he won't give Danny back that is if he has him that dead body could of been a clone he's done that before you know." said Tucker trying to figure out the best possible way of getting his friend back.



"Well we don't but confronting Vlad is a start." said Jazz now going down to the Lab to get the specter speeder.

Vlad sat in the living room thinking how things didn't go as smooth as he planned especially with Daniel the teen had almost cried in front of him so he knew that Danny was not happy with him which he had expected but he was going to have to talk to him sooner or later he hadn't left his room since Vlad showed it to him.

He refused to come down to eat or to let anyone in so he was going to have to phase in if he wanted to talk to Daniel.

"I should do that now after all he can't avoid me forever." Vlad said now standing up and headed for Danny's room when he got there he was simply just going to walk in when he realized that the teen had locked himself in so he turned intangble and phased through the door just to see Daniel curled up on his bed.

He wasn't sure if he was awake or asleep until he heard a sigh "Daniel" he said to get teen's attention. Danny turned around and sat up and looked at him for a minute.

"What?" he asked.

Vlad walked closer to Daniel and sat on the bed with him but with caution he looked at the teen and seen not really any reaction out of the teen at all.

"I just want to talk with you and mabey explain some rules that I didn't mention yesterday." he said concerned about how the boy was handling this that was the real reason he had come to talk to make sure that he hadn't crushed the young half ghost spirit or spunk.

"Okay" he said without looking at him.

He looked at Daniel and seen that he was not happy actually he looked depressed and about to cry. he went closer to him turned his head so he could look Daniel right in the eye's and try and find out what was wrong even though he already knew but he knew that was not the only thing bothering him.

Danny tried to flinch away but Vlad wouldn't let him he looked at him right in the eye's and behind those very sad ocean blue eye's he saw fear but fear of what? what could possibly scare his stubborn little badger the boy wasn't even afraid of him even though most ghost did so what is Daniel afraid of?

Danny turned his head again and again Vlad grabed his chin gently and made him look at him again "Daniel are you okay." he said worried that Daniel might be more upset than he thought.

But Danny didn't answer he just kept trying to avoid Vlad's eyes. "Daniel did you hear me I asked if you were okay."

"Yeah I'm fine" he said finally barely above a whisper.

But Vlad knew he was not fine he could tell "No you're not you are anything but fine my boy it's all over your face." he said now pulling Danny closer to him so he could comfort him because the boy was defenitally upset.

Danny tried to pull away "No come here"said Vlad again pulling him closer and huged him and rubbing his back and then Danny started doing what he was trying not to do yesterday.

Cry

Danny continued to cry he couldn't help it, it finally gotten to him and Vlad was tyring to comfort him it didn't really make much sense but Danny didn't really care if it was Vlad who he was getting comfort from he just needed it.

"shh it's alright little badger I'm here shh" Vlad said and the teen still continuded until he couldn't anymore still huging him Vlad asked softly "Now tell me little badger whats wrong and don't say nothing because I know something is wrong."

"I just miss them and I don't understand why me?" said Danny still encased in Vlad's creepy yet comforting hug.

Well Vlad knew that but he knew that wasn't all that was bothering him what was Daniel hidding "what else is wrong?" he said gently.

"What do you mean what else I just told you what was wrong" said Danny straightining himself and up and looked at Vlad confused by his question.

"Yes you did but that is not all that is bothering you am I right?" Vlad asked even though he knew he was right.

Danny didn't answer because that wasn't all that was bothering him like the older hybrid said but he didn't feel ready to tell him because he knew that Vlad would not understand only him and Clockwork understood. He had to go see Clockwork soon because he didn't know what to do what if he became evil.

"I'll take your silence as a yes." Vlad said noticing that Danny was not going to answer the boy's head shot up he must of spaced out again "well if you don't want a talk about it you don't have to but I really wish you would but I can't make but remeber when you're ready to talk I'll be here." he said now heading for the door when...

"Wait you don't have to go Vlad you said that you forgot to tell me the rest of the rules." said Danny he didn't really want Vlad to leave he was lonely and wanted something to do.

"Oh I just said that to talk to you but if you really want to talk then we can talk some more if that is what you really want my boy." said Vlad knowing that the younger hybrid was probly bored out of his mind having not left his room all day.

"Well I don't really feel like talking" he said honestly and noiticed Vlad grin " but we could do something because I'm bored" he said and both him and Vlad started chuckling.

"Well why don't you join me down stairs and we can play a game of chess or something." he said smiling yet feeling a little guilty that the boy wanted to spend time with him after what he just did.

"Okay" said Danny now going to the door to follow Vlad.
